Ieva Ilvesa strongly believes that in order to have a secure nation, you need to have a digitally literate and cybersecurity-aware society. As internet threats grow in complexity and nuance, so does the need to protect every individual, as cybersecurity is only as strong as the weakest link. We’ve learned from the Ukrainian experience that disinformation is a threat to cybersecurity, which is why critical thinking, in heart and mind, is a key to a resilient nation.
Ieva Ilvesa worked to establish the NATO Strategic Communications Center of Excellence, which to this day continues to play a key role in combatting disinformation.
Her work is continued through the Ieva Ilvesa Foundation, where Ieva works with children, teens, adults, and corporations to provide awarness and skills in a fun and engaging format. Be that through guest speaking at schools, putting together educational programmes such as her Cyber Eye program supported by Google.org, or providing value-added corporate event public speaking engagements.
